Hello once again out in blogger land, I know I had a recent fallout, and your pitiful hopes and dreams were almost shattered like the bogus economy in California, but there were many situations that incarcerated me from writing my world famous blog. But as I promised, I have returned. Throughout the past several months, my weary mind has been fixated on true meaning of the term "sweet land of liberty." Are we really at liberty to do and say what we want to in this day and age, or is there a certain restriction on the very harmless things that some of us can do. You decide.
As noted in a previous blog of mine, there is the argument for "right to education." In this country, according to the constitution, all tykes are given the right to a free public education. However, living in the era of the 2000's, kids throughout all states are required to attend some sort of schooling, having the outrageous consequence of jail time for any parent or guardian found not in compliance. Are you kidding me? This reminds me of seeing those black and white films of children in Germany in the 1940's, sitting neatly in their desks with their hands folded, being taught that Adolf Hitler was God. The atrocity that now looms over the schooling issue is that parents are required now to pay for supplies, bus tickets and donations because government official's need that extra dollar to vacation in Maine to tip their servants.
Also noted is the good old "red, white and blue" stands for freedom of religion. However, this headstrong country that was founded on "In God We Trust" has now detached the staples that held the constitution in order by banning open prayer and forbidding religious views. The consequences that are implemented for these actions are in compliance with that of communist orders, having labeled one who is religiously minded to be stamped as a Loney Tune and enlisted first class into Patton State hospital for "government evaluation." That to me does not define liberty in any fashion, as one cannot express their personal feelings or statements without being degraded by a firing squad if your ideas or views are not considered "common" in the land of the free.
The Uncompromisable Truth is that Liberty comes with restrictions. On September 3, 1783, the revolutionary war ended, bringing hope to remove the clutches of those wicked kings that controlled our nation for their own purposes. The irony of it all was these same people who fought for liberty and freedom, enlisted themselves "colored" slaves soon after winning their own freedom. This country was established on the bloody backs of slaves singing "when the saints come marching in", and continues to sweep under the rug the dirt and filth that surrounds the current restrictions on "liberty." If one is not able to make the sound choices to better their own lives without harm to others, that is not a form a freedom. I guess I will have to prepare two sandwiches for uncle Sam, one for each face. And that, my friends, is The Uncompromisable Truth.

ReplyDeleteFirst, welcome back to blog world. But, I don't know if my blood pressure can stand your rants!
I can't help myself. Here is what you don't understand about compulsory attendance laws. In most states parents are required to educate their children. This doesn't mean they have to attend public school, but it would be abuse to not educate a child. My state, Oregon, allows for home schooling. Parents can teach their child at home and their children only have to meet minimal educational standards. If parents decide to send their children to public school, the school must provide a free education. Families who meet low income standards can get waivers for fees...but they have to apply for them. No school that i have ever worked with would let a child go without a necessary school supply when a family is unable to pay for it.
Lighten up Jeff...life is too short. Look for some good in your world. There's lots of good out there if you look for it. If you only see the bad, you're not looking hard enough!

ReplyDeleteIt's been such a looong time. I absolutely love this post! So true and very well said.
It's ridiculous how these things go on and some people are stupid enough to think it's true freedom. And I could go on and on about the school B.S. lol. They can blow money on outrageous things that matter none like spending 2 grand on a sign that says "Dade Co. High school. Go Wolverines!" lol When there are far more important things that money could have went to.
Anyways, I will shut up for now.
